My 32nd Birthday

A few girls from the salon decided we needed to go out and celebrate my birthday and Kassi's in Old Town Scottsdale. We started at Blue Wassabi for Sushi and then down to Devil's Martini and Mist for dancing.

The actual day of my birthday was spent in Las Vegas with some friends. We were there for a long girls weekend to celebrate Stacey getting married...her bachlorette party. They were very nice and got me Cafe Mortorano's version of a birthday cake. There was enough to go around for 12 girls believe it or not.

It was a very fun, but tiring weekend. I don't remember the last time I stayed up till 530a.m. or lost $250 playing Craps!

Neighborhood Nighttime Easter Egg hunt

One of my neighbors came up with a brilliant idea. Lets get all the neighborhood families together and go on a NIGHT TIME Easter Egg Hunt. We gathered at her house where she had tables of cupcakes, pastel color frosting, edible grass, jelly beans and and other fun food decorating items. The kids decorated and played in the backyard while the fathers went up to the park to hide the eggs in the deep dark grass.

They phoned in the troops when they were ready for the hunt. Mom's rallied up the kids as we marched in long lines a couple of blocks after dark to the big park behind the school. And at the very, very back, was this huge grassy area where the fathers hid over 100 eggs. The eggs had special tape on them and the kids had flashlights so they could see them. Now it was time for a talk...little kids 5 and under get a 30 sec head start. Then the big kids could go. Each kid was to get approx. 17-20 eggs which were filled with candy.

Each and every kid found all the eggs they wanted as the gathered along the sidewalk to eat all their candy. Including the sour lemons...yum! The families went over to the playground area to let the children play for a bit before we turned in for the evening.
Everyone had such a great time and we can't wait to do it again next year.

Meeting friends at the Railroad park in Scottsdale

It was a beautiful spring day out, so why not get together with some friends and go to the park. The Messmer's and the Tomasso's met our long lost buddies, the Sandells who just moved back into town from Washington. Since they live in Mexico...(HaHa, it's actually Maricopa) this was a nice half way point for us to meet. We set up a picnic and the kids played for hours on the playground. Of course you can't go to the Railroad park with out going on the train. Oh yea and don't forget we need to make ourselves sick on the Merry Go Round. Yippee!!!
